Programs for Adults

English as a Second Language (ESL):

One-on-one tutoring and classes. Classes begin the last week in September and run until the end of May.

Pals:
One-on-one help with reading and writing. Contact us at anytime.

Senior Connect:

Computer Learning for Seniors. Lessons run from October to December and January to April.

Volunteer Tutors Needed:
Tutor Orientation held the last Monday in September and the last Monday in January at 7:00 pm at our office.
  Programs for Families and Youth

Rhyming Tots:
Oral Language Fun with Rhymes, Songs and Activities for Parents and Tots 0 – 5. Drop in programs begin the third Tuesday in September and run until the middle of May.

Little Pals:
One-on-one help with reading for elementary students. Tutors go into the schools from October to May.

Outreach:
Community presentations, displays and programming to enhance early literacy development. Approved day homes can arrange Rhyming Tots programming for their children.  

Books for Babies:

Books and Early Literacy materials distributed at Health Unit at baby’s four-month visit.

Please Note: Our office follows the same schedule as the Schools. We are closed for two months in the summer, for two weeks at Christmas and for one week at Easter.
